Akruti managed to pull off a great surprise party with pretty much everyone I know in Boston. The party continued with the "Thirsty Thursday" at Roggie's next door. However, I couldn't last as long as the party did. I guess I am getting old. Check the pics out.

After a grueling 7-hour ordeal at the Miami airport, we are finally back from our 10 day trip to Miami and Jamaica. We started missing the warm weather as soon as we stepped out of the Boston airport. Miami was a great experience. Akruti and I got to learn a lot of new spanish words while enjoying the awesome food there especially, the Rosa Mexicano restaurant. We visited the Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Little Havana, Bayside Galleria and of course, South Beach. A short flight took us to Montego Bay, Jamaica. The resort was nice and our excursions to nearby cities, Negril and Ocho Rios were amazing. We got to sample whatever vegetarian food there was in their cuisine, see people jump off cliffs, climb a waterfall and our absolute favorite, swim with the dolphins. Life has been great in Boston. Akruti decided to host a lavish Thanksgiving dinner at our place in Boston. We had quite a few friends and Shaili :) come in and enjoy the meal followed by some board games and card games and poker. After a night of intense poker action, we decided to hit the mall for the thanksgiving doorbuster sale. However, we were so exhausted by the time we got there that we just roamed around. "We" excludes Shaili who shopped her heart out and bought herself a whole new wardrobe :). Definitely a memorable night. Check out the pics
As soon as my semester got over, we wasted no time to get out of the boston cold and make our escape into the New Jersey cold (which was substantially more bearable). We stayed over at Amee and Amar's Bed and Breakfast :) in the Newport area. The trip started with an ad hoc visit to Atlantic City where we learnt the tricks of the trade from a Blackjack dealer from Baroda, made some money and hogged down loads and loads of food followed by a day trip to NYC and then meeting up with some cousins and relatives in the Jersey area. It was probably one of our most productive yet fun trips. Check out the pics.

We are finally back in Boston after the 6 week long vacation in Bombay. It was a busy trip with a lot of socializing but we ended up trying a lot of new restaurants this time. The unanimous favorite was Aromas of China in Andheri followed by Olives in Bandra. Here are pictures from some of the highlights from the trip:

We finally moved in to our place in Boston. Its a great place and conveniently situated near the subway, Boston College and the restaurants. Here's a link to the pics.
On our very long drive from Lafayette, IN to Boston, MA, we stopped for a day in Niagara Falls, NY aka 'the city where its hard to find a restaurant that does not serve Indian food.' We also had a stop over in Troy, NY but that city wasn't exactly photogenic :). Here are some pics from the famous 'Maid of the Mist' tours at Niagara Falls. Hopefully, we should soon be able to have pictures of Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. They say it looks better from that side. Fact or Canadian Tourism Gimmick? We shall find out! :)
